Sexual Assault Counselling Australia is a national counselling service for anyone who has experienced sexual abuse in an institutional setting while under the age of 18.

This includes people who want to address their trauma as a result of hearing about the issues of institutional childhood sexual abuse investigated by the Royal Commission.

The free telephone counselling service for people of all genders is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A free telephone interpreting service is available for any language. Please let the counsellor know if you require an interpreter and we will arrange it for you.

All our counsellors hold tertiary qualifications in psychology or social work.

All our counsellors provide trauma specialist counselling and receive regular supervision, support and professional development to do their work.

We can also support you in completing an application for redress should you wish to do so. You can read more about the National Redress Scheme here.

Sexual Assault Counselling Australia also provides face to face counselling services in far west NSW, New England, North West NSW and Albury.

To make an appointment to discuss face to face counselling options, call us on: 1800 211 028.
