Vicarious trauma monitoring using psychometrics

The use of psychometrics to monitor and manage vicarious trauma can provide clear information about the severity and type of vicarious trauma symptoms that are present. R&DVSA clinicians provide regular psychometric monitoring of vicarious trauma for external organisations and professionals working in the context of trauma.

Two formal measures are used to assess vicarious trauma. The measures assess cognitive change symptoms resulting from exposure to trauma and the degree of secondary traumatisation in professionals who work with trauma survivors.

Monitoring can be applied to individuals, teams and organisations.
