Give in Memory
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a very special way of remembering someone. Requesting donations in lieu of flowers at the funeral service of your loved one allows family, friends and guests to give a meaningful gift to support the work of Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia.
An effective way of letting your guests know of your wishes prior to the service is to include the following words in the funeral notice:
“In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia, PO Box 555, Drummoyne NSW 2047. Envelopes will also be available at the service.”
We will send a tax deductible receipt to every person who makes a donation in memory at the funeral service, and we will send you, or the nominated next of kin, a summary of everyone that has made a donation in memory.
Donating to specialist crisis counselling in memory of a family member or friend that has passed away is a meaningful way to honour them.
In memory contributions to support 24/7 rape and domestic violence crisis counselling can be made in the following ways:
- Request donations in memory at a funeral service
Next of kin, family and friends can request donations in memory at a funeral service.
You or your funeral director can arrange to have our donation envelopes at the service by calling us on 02 8585 0333 or by filling in the form at the bottom of this page. These are supplied free of charge.
- Make a direct, regular or one-off memorial gift.
Many supporters like to make regular donations in their loved one’s memory to mark a special occasion, a birthday or anniversary. One-off donations are also a wonderful way to support work to prevent sexual assault and domestic violence in memory of someone who has passed.
